Barb takes on new research manager 26 February 2003 Simon Bolus is joining Barb on 17 March 2003 to take up the new post of Research Manager. Simon Bolus (37) is currently head of research at Zenith Media where he worked on Zenith’s UK Television Forecasts report and served as both the IPA’s representative on Barb’s Technical Advisory Group and as chairman of the IPA’s own Television Research Advisory Group. Before joining Zenith in 1999, he was production audience research manager at Carlton Television. Caroline McDevitt, chief executive of Barb, said, ‘I am delighted that Simon is joining Barb. The major broadcasters and advertising agencies whom Barb represents look to us for the highest quality of data. Simon will help us continue to deliver that “gold standard” data and will be working closely with the broadcasting industry to deliver the service it needs.’ Tony Wearn, Barb’s Director of Research, said, ‘Simon has a wealth of experience, encompassing television, advertising and media, and is a first-class researcher and statistician.
